Ek dost tha.. ek yaar tha
wo hi dil mera wo hi pyaar tha

Har sawaal ka wo jawaab tha
Ek nasha sa tha ek khumaar tha

phool pyaar ke yun hi khil gaye
Har kali mein bas wo shumaar tha

Wo hi jism tha wo hi rooh tha
Man ki baat ka  raazdaar tha

Dhoop tez thi ek thakan si
Uski yaad mein zar zar tha

Kis talaash me waqt nikal gya
Ishq ke padaav pe umar ka utaar tha

Manzil ek hi raaste juda
karwan chal diya ret ka gubaar tha

Ek dost tha..ek yaar
