Tu na mila hota to mili   khushi na hoti:
tere baghair yeh zindagi,zindagi na hoti;  

saraapa tha gham aur udaasi me  duba,
tune hasaya na hota to lab pe hasi na hoti;
  
tere qadam se mile qadam to raahen khuli,
warna bhatke hue ko manzil mili na hoti;  

mere afsaane me kahin tera zikrr bhi tha,
warna logon ko mujme dilchaspi na hoti;

ek hasina,maahjabina na hoti gar zindagi me,
amaawas si is zindagi me chaandni na hoti;
