क्या अजब ही फूलों ने आज ख्वाब देखा है...
रात पत्थरों को देते जवाब देखा है...

रस्म रात सब के सब रह गये निभाने से...
रात आप को मैंने बेहिसाब देखा है...

आप के ही जैसा हमने भी और देखा है...
याद आज आया वो आफ़ताब देखा है...

बाँट फिर कहीं मेरे मुल्क को न दें ये सब...
आज फिर से हाथों में वो ग़ुलाब देखा है...

आज फिर कहीं कोई ज़िन्दगी से हारा है...
बेशुमार उड़ते मैंने उक़ाब देखा है...

प्यास तो "मुसाहिब" की आज बुझ ही जायेगी...
आज़ बादलों में वो इज़तिराब देखा है...

kyaa ajab  hi fulon ne aaj  khwaab dekha hai..
raat  pathron ko dete  jawaab dekha hai..

rasm  raat sab ke sab  rah gaye nibhane se..
raat aap ko  maine   behisaab dekha hai

aap ke hii jaisa humne  bhii aur dekha hai..
yaad aaj aaya  wo aaftab dekha hai...

baant  fir kahin mere  mulk ko n  deN ye sab..
aaj fir se hathon mein wo  gulaab dekha hai..

aaj  fir  kahin koii zindagii se haaraa hai ...
beshumaar   udte   maine ukaab dekha hai..

pyaas to musaahib kii aaj  bujh hii jayegii...
aaj badlon mein wo iztiraab dekha hai..
