Lagtaa hai gulaabon sey banaayee gayee ho tum!
Jannat sey laa, zameen pai basaayee gayee ho tum!!

Shayar tamaam jaante hain tumko azal se;
Tiflon-see khushguwaar bataayee gayee ho tum!

Dekhe hain tum mein laakh zaheenoun ne gul-hi-gul!
Lagtaa hai bahaaron sey sajaayee gayee ho tum!!

Maine bhi husn duudh-dhuloun kaa piyaa hai khuub;
Lagtaa hai shabnamon mein nahaayee gayee ho tum!!

Zeyhn-o-jigar mein khil uthey hain dudhmuheyn gulaab:
Lagtaa hai bahaaron sey churaayee gayee ho tum!

Dikhtaa hai mujhe jaagte khwaab-e-uyoon-e-shokh;
Khyaal-e-‘abd’ mein ruu-b-ruu payee gayee ho tum!
