Dil pai pardah hai, jigar par pardah!
Daaliye sab kee nazar par pardah!!

Shokh mahboob ney dulhin ban kar,
Khoob daalaa hai umar par pardah!

'Kiskee syaahee sey, syaah hai cheyhraa?'
'Daal do shafaq-o-sahar par pardah!'

Zar rahaa, hosh-o-aabroo na sahee!
Syaah zar kaa hai ujar par pardah!!

Itnee taaqat hai anjuman mein, 'abd',
Daal dey a'am key sar par pardah?
