baat to kuch jaroor rahi hogi jo is kadar chore gaye,
hamari itni bhee na kadar rahi ki alwida na keh paaye,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
alam e tanhaai main  uskee  yaadai,n  mere  paas thee,
gardish main jo lamha gujra uss se zindagi udaas thee,

woh diwaani ekk  pal naa  samjhee mere haal e dil koh,
kaise jataate  usko joh meri  zindagi main khaas thee,

raah e manjil sunsaan lagtee thee  fir bhi jane kiyon,
muddat baad lout aaye yahee aakhri  dil main aas thee,

hath thaame kisi or kaa woh gujar gaye mere kareeb se,
hijr kee lou main jal rahi mere armaano ki laash thee,

aankho,n ke aansu  sukh gaye karte rahe intezaar uska,
saari zindagi meri zeest ko uske didaar ki pyaas thee,

thori see khushi kee talaash main  tarapte rahe sadaa,
eysa lagaa khuda ko meree khushiya  aayi na raas thee,
