अचानक मिल गई उनकी सहेली आज  रस्ते  में |

गई  सुलझा  के मेरी सब पहेली आज रस्ते में ||
 

हुई  आमद जो उनकी धूप भी शरमा गई झट से |

उसी  पल  ने हमारी जान ले ली आज रस्ते में ||
 

घुमा कर कौन से रस्ते से मुझको आज  ले आये |

नज़र  आई  नहीं  उनकी हवेली आज  रस्ते में ||
 

मिलेगी हुस्न की  दौलत कहीं से आज  तो शायद |

बहुत  खुजला  रही  मेरी   हथेली आज रस्ते में ||
 

बड़े गर्द -ओ -गुबार -ओ -जाम से भरपूर था रस्ता |

मुसीबत  पूछिए किसने न झेली  आज  रस्ते  में ||
 

ख़बर  पक्की  हमें  दी  आज तो उनकी सहेली ने |

मिलेगी  वो  हमें  बिलकुल अकेली आज रस्ते में ||
 

उसी का भेष भर -भर कर सफ़र में आ गए सारे |

रक़ीबों  ने  ग़ज़ब की चाल  खेली आज रस्ते में ||  
 

करिश्माई  गुरू  घंटाल की बातों  में यूँ फँस कर |

बने सब  उसके चेला और चेली आज रस्ते  में ||
 

अकेले  हम  चले ये सोच  कर होगें  अकेले वो |

मिली पर साथ में चम्पा  चमेली आज रस्ते में ||

Bade  gard-o-gubaar-o-jaam  se  bharpoor  thaa  rastaa.
Museebat   poochhiye   kisne  n  jhelee  aaj raste meN.

Khabar   pakkee   hameN  dee  aaj  to unkee sahelee ne.
Milegee   vo   hameN   bilkul   akelee   aaj raste meN.

Useekaa  bhesh  bhar-bhar  kar safar meN aa gaye saare.
