                               phool  hi  nahin  khusboo  bhi chaahiye!
                               raunaq-e-zindagi ko aarzoo bhi chaahiye!!


                               pahunchna  manzil tak sabhi chaahein per.
                               qadmo.n mein  zaraa justjoo bhi chaahiye!


                               unn  tanhaa  khushi  kis  kaam ki bhalaa.
                               manzar khushgawaar chaarsoo bhi chaahiye!


                               kare koi  taarif   to  hazam nahin hotaa.
                               ek  ad-ad aainaa  roo-b-roo bhi chaahiye!


                               hai  soorat bhali,  aa'laa  seerat bhi ho.
                               hifaazat mein hamesha aabroo bhi chaahiye!


                               bikhre sher ko sambhalnaa hai mushkil sheba!
                               moqammal ghazal ke liye too bhi chaahiye!
