jab hadh se bhad jati hai ghosh e tanhai e dard,
lafzi beyaan karte hai aksher bol padte hai,

khushbu deti hai akser sadaaye,
raat chandni main tare bol padte hai,

jab bhi mili hai nighaho se nighahe,
tari fulkari ke sare rang bol padte hai,

gul e guljaar mehka saba ke chumne se,
lehre mehtaab se kinare bol padte hai,

ye fariyaade kabhi rokne se nahi rukti,
saanse chup rehti hai zakham bol padte hai,

bohut chupne ki koshisk ki [jeet] ne,
in aankho se behte ashak bol padte hai,,
