jab tumse meri pehli mulaakaat hui,
meri barbaadi ki suruwaat hui,

janta tha mera anjaam bohut bura hoga,
fir bhi bepervaah meri ye zaat hui,

jab bhi un palo ko sametna chaha meine,
tab shaam dhalte hi gumo ki bersaat hui,

uski yaado ke sahare kab din dhal jata,
ye na pata chalta ke kab tanha raat hui,

khushiya dhondta main uski raaho main,
tadpta gya main jo udasiyo ki sogaat hui

dil e nadaan ker gya gustakhi dillagi ki,
uski nazar main mere ishq ki kiya auqaat hui,
