aaine per bhi nigahe kabhi dalo yaaro
main to bahka hu, zara khudko sambhalo yaro

apne hi waste ban jaye na daman ka sabab
baat aisi na koi muh se nikalo yaro

dillagi dil ki lagi ho gayi rafta rafta
yu hi hasi me meri baat ko na talo yaro

raz khul jaye na chahre ke ta'assur se kahi
apni aankhe meri janib se hata lo yaro

wakt se pahle kisi ko nahi milti manzil
aur kuch roz abhi thokre khalo yaro

kya khaber koun sa pal chin ke le jaye mujhe
aur do chaar kadam saathb to nibhalo yaaro


aasma se na giru kahi toote hue tare ki trah
naam ye mera bahut ab na uchaalo yaro

dhoondti phir rahi hai gerdish-e-ayaam mujhe
ho jo mumkin to kahi mujhko chupalo yaro

jinki takdeer bigad jati hai wo kya karte hai

aisi ek rah pe jisse na wo guzrege kabhi
yuhi baithe hue hum rah taka karte hai

hum jo the ahl-e-wafa, humse wafa bhi na hui
derd-e-dil hum kis muh se tera gila karte hai

jab tum nahi to raat ke sannate me
koun hai jisko hum awaaz diya karte hai
