Ghoot ghoot ke jeeye hai hijr ki lou main
Ab or chand lamho ke liye saanse kaise pau.n,

Tari yaad aati hai to dil tadap uthta hai mera.
Tu bata tari yaado se niyzaat kaise pau.n,

Gamo.n ke qafas main qaid hu baragshtaa,
Din ba din badhti tanhai se duri kaise pau.n,

Tare intezaar ki be chaini itni badh gayi.
Ki ab kisi sukh ke pal ka chain kaise pau.n,
