                            andher.on se bhaagti ye raat!
                            tanhaai  mein jaagti ye raat!

                            aansu.on mein lipti hui neend.
                            hai dard ko  baant ti ye raat!

                            gham-o-fikr se uljhi rahe aur.
                            lamha-lamha  kaat ti  ye raat!

                            be-wajah  tariki na khatm kar.
                            jugnu.on  ko daant ti ye raat!

                            sungg  shamaa ke  kabhi-kabhi.
                            adaa   se  naach  ti ye raat!

                            zamin pe utra hai kya chaand!
                            munh sheba ka taakti ye raat!!
