mughe aksr woh tanha e lamha yaad aata hai,
uska chup chap ruksat le jana yaad aata hai,

uske ek didaar ko ye dil jor jor dhadkta tha,
uska woh aankho main basaya khuwab yaad aata hai,

mogre ke jaise mehkte they mare din or raat,
uska woh dhire dhire gungunana yaad aata hai,

jab aage bhadkar tham lete they hath uska,
uske zism ka kap kapana yaad aata hai,

khidki par nazare tikayi intzaar karte they hum
uska mughe dekh kar muskurana yaad aata hai,,
