Sant kabeer ji ke Dohe na sirf neeti parak hain balki vyavharik jeevan ka darpan hain...

Mujhe laga kuch yehan post kar dun...agar koi galti hogi plz bata dena...

Kabir (1440AD to 1518AD) was one of the early saints of bhakti kaal who lived in northern India. By profession he was a weaver. He was a disciple of Guru Ramanand from southern India. He shunned religious affiliations and sang the glory of one God in vedanta as well as bhakti tradition. Kabir wrote in simple language that common people could easily understand. Here are some of his famous dohas..

1- दुःख में सुमिरन सब करे सुख में करै न कोय।
   जो सुख में सुमिरन करे दुःख काहे को होय ॥

Dukh Mein Simran Sab Karen, Sukh Mein Karay Na Koye
Jo Sukh Mein Simran Karay, To Dukh Kahay Ko Hoye.

Kabeer ji kehate hain ki dukh mein to paramatma ko sab yaad karte hain sukh mein koi yaad nahi karta.agar sukh mein bhi sab smaran karte toh dukh hi nahi hota...


2- तिनका कबहुँ ना निंदये, जो पाँव तले होय ।
    कबहुँ उड़ आँखो पड़े, पीर घानेरी होय ॥


Tinka kabhun na nindiye, jo paav tale hoye
kab hun udd aankho pade, peer ghaneri hoye..


tinka ko bhi chota na samjho chahe woh aap ke paav tale ho kyun ki yadi woh udkar aap ki aankh mein gire to kitna kast deta hai..


3- माला फेरत जुग भया, फिरा न मन का फेर ।
   कर का मन का डार दे, मन का मनका फेर ॥

Maala fherat jug bhaya, fhira na man ka fher
kar ka man ka daar de,man ka man ka fher..

Kabeer ji kehate hain ki mala fherte fherte yug beet gaya tab bhi man ka kapat door nahi hua hai.hey Manusya!haath ka man ka chod de aur aur apne man rupi manke ko fher, arthat man ka sudhar kar!

4- गुरु गोविंद दोनों खड़े, काके लागूं पाँय ।
   बलिहारी गुरु आपनो, गोविंद दियो मिलाय ॥

Guru Govinda dono khade, kake lagoon paay
bali hari guru aapno,Govinda diyo milay..


5- सुख मे सुमिरन ना किया, दु:ख में करते याद ।
   कह कबीर ता दास की, कौन सुने फरियाद ॥

sukh me simiran na kiya,dukh mein karte yaad
kaha kabeer ta das ki,koun sune phariyad...

sukh me toh kabhi yaad kiya nahiaur dukh mein yaad karne lage,Kabeer ji kehate hain uss das ki prarthana koun sune..

Chalti Chakki Dekh Kar, Diya Kabira Roye
Dui Paatan Ke Beech Mein,Sabit Bacha Na Koye

This doha picks up a situation from our daily life. Kabir watches the woman grinding wheat on the flour mill. I have used the word woman here as generally it is the woman who does this work even today in the rural Indian society. The wheels are made of stone.  One is stationary while the other on top is made to rotate by turning it with the help of a handle attached to it. The grain that is put into it gets crushed and the converted flour comes out.  Thus the literal translation given above conveys that.

Bura Jo Dekhan Main Chala, Bura Naa Milya Koye
Jo Munn Khoja Apnaa, To Mujhse Bura Naa Koye

This doha deals with our perception behavior and tendencies. It has been invariably noticed that we tend to find fault with someone else for our situations and circumstances.   Our "I", the ego, always tries to put blame on others.   Non-awareness of our own self is the cause of this attitude.  Resultantly, we find ourselves being busy in criticizing and condemning others and conveniently term them as crooked or evil.


Kaal Kare So Aaj Kar, Aaj Kare So Ub
Pal Mein Pralaya Hoyegi, Bahuri Karoge Kub

In this Doha, Kabir has clearly tried to explain the human tendency of laziness and procrastination.  It is a known fact that we all tend to postpone matters, we are indecisive and given a choice we would like others to be doing work and we simply enjoying a cool time.  When it comes to us, we try to get away by saying, "Very busy, no time." Don't we?

Aisee Vani Boliye, Mun Ka Aapa Khoye
Apna Tan Sheetal Kare, Auran Ko Sukh Hoye

This doha is a gem.  It deals with human psychology, metaphysics and a basic tenet of the Indian philosophy. The ancients of the Vedic literature have laid tremendous emphasis on speech. They have mentioned in innumerable shlokas that our speech has a direct connection with our bodily humors. They proclaimed that sound and sight are the underlying source of all vibrations. This has been scientifically proven over and over again.

We know that all sounds create vibrations.  And these vibrations affect both the speaker and the listener. Soothing, compassionate and loving words breed togetherness, while harsh speech breeds hatred. And, we also know that human speech is one of the main ingredient that differentiates mankind from the rest of the animal kingdom.

Thus, Kabir, in this doha crystallizes the power of the spoken word. He teaches us to speak in such a manner that keeps us harmonious and composed thereby making the listener feel a sense of joy in the communication.

Pothi Padh Padh Kar Jag Mua, Pandit Bhayo Na Koye
Dhai Aakhar Prem Ke, Jo Padhe so Pandit Hoye

Kabir in this doha shows the way, in his simple but dynamic style. He daringly says that despite all our readings, despite all our knowledge, we cannot become wise.  Only if we 'read' Love, become loving and loveable, only then wisdom will dawn on us.  Only then Life will be worth living.

6- साईं इतना दीजिये, जा मे कुटुम समाय ।
   मैं भी भूखा न रहूँ, साधु ना भूखा जाय ॥

Sai itna dijiye, ja me kutoomb samay
main bhi bhooka na rahin,sadhu na bhooka jay..

Kabeer das ji kehate hain ki paramatma tum mujhe itna do ki jisme pareevar ka gujara chal jaye.Main bhuka na rahun aur sadhu bhi bhuka na rahe....

7- लूट सके तो लूट ले,राम नाम की लूट ।
   पाछे फिर पछ्ताओगे,प्राण जाहि जब छूट ॥

loot sake to loot le,Ram naam ki loot
pachhe fir pachtaoge,jahin jab choot...

Kabeer das ji kehate hain ki prani,bhagvan ke naam ki loot charon taraf machi hai agar lena chahte ho le le jab samay nikal jayega to tu pachtayega.arthat jab pran nikal jayega to bhagvan ka naam kaise japega...

8- जाती ना पूछो साधु की ,पूछ लीजिए ज्ञान ।
   मोल करो तलवार का, पड़ा रहन दो म्यान ॥

Jaati na pucho sadhu ki,puch lijiye gyan
mole karo talvar ka,pada renan do myan...

kisi sadhu se unki jaati na pucho balki usse gyan ki baat pucho,issi tarah talvaar ki keemat mat pucho myaan me pade rehne do...

barason pahle kahe gaye "Kabeer" ji ke dohe aaj bhi utne hi satik aur prasangik hai jitane us samay the...jeevan ke sabhi sutra aur nichod sirf do line me....
sachmuch kisi mahan aatma dwara hi sambhav tha..
is bahoot hi uttam vishay par likhane ke liye......
punam ji , pooja ji ko sadhuwad..

9- जहाँ दया तहाँ धर्म है,जहाँ लोभ तहाँ पाप ।
   जहाँ क्रोध तहाँ पाप है, जहाँ क्षमा तहाँ आप ॥

jahan daya tahan dharm hai, jahan lobh tahan pap
jahan krodh tahan pap hai, jahan khyama tahan aap..

Jahan daya hai wahan dhram hai aur jahan lobh hai wahan pap hai.aur jahan krodh hai wahin kaal hai yani naas hota hai aur jahan khyama hoti hai wahan swayam bhagvan hote hai..

10- धीरे-धीरे रे मना, धीरे सब कुछ होय ।
    माली सींचे सौ घड़ा, ॠतु आए फल होय ॥

dheere dheere re mana,dheere sab kuch hoy
maali sinche sou ghada,rootu aaye phal hoy...

Hey mann dheere dheere sab kuch ho jayega.Maali sau kodon ghade paani ped mein deta hai par phal rootu aane par hi lagta hai.arthat dairya rakhne se aur samay aane par hi kaam bante hain...


11- कबीरा ते नर अँध है, गुरु को कहते और ।
    हरि रूठे गुरु ठौर है, गुरु रूठे नहीं ठौर ॥

kabeera te nar andh hai, guru ko kehate aur
Hari ruthe guru thair hai,guru ruthe nahi thair..

Kabeer das ji kehate hain ki ve nar andhe hain jo guru ko bhagvan se chota samjhte hain kyun ki eswaar ke rusht hone par ek guru ka sahara toh hai,lekin guru ke naraz hone ke baad koi theekana nahi hai....

माया मरी ना मन मरा, मर मर गये शरीर,
आशा त्रिश्ना ना मरी, कह गये दास कबीर.


धीरे धीरे रे मना धीरे सब कुछ होये,
माली सीन्चे सौ घड़ा, ऋतु आये फ़ल होये.

जाती ना पूछो साधु की, पूछ लीजिये ग्यान
मोल करो तलवार की पड़ी रेहेन जो मयान.
