aj dard hai ruswaai hai gamoo ki sougaat payi hai,
tod gai hai rishte saare uski yaad tutke aayi hai,

muddat se talaash thi jis manjil ki kabhi hume yuh,
baragashta manjil per mili hume ghosh e tanhai hai,

woh sanam harjaayi  thi jo kehti rahi hum tere hai,
chore gyi woh aj uski yaado ka ye dil aashinai hai,

kismat se paya tha usey woh mukdder se  bichad gaya,
ab tanha e alam me uski yaade aansu,o me bahayi hai,

hamdard banke aayi thi zindagi me jo eyse sile diye,
ki ab koi humraah baney to humney nazare churai hai,

khud se ruswai hone lagi hai dard hadh se badh gaya,
perchai to sath chore gayi saanse rukne ko aayi hai,
