Yad aati hain vo sardi ki ratein
Rato ko rehte rajai mein lipte

Gulabi dhoop mein chhat pe tehalte
Dane moongphali ke sab chabate
Kya suhani dhoop thi lagti
Tere sath hoke suhani lagti
Hari matar jab tum thi chhilti
Kankhiyon se kabhi hum ko dekhti
Hum bhi thori shararat karte
Chupke se matar dane churate
Yad aati hain vo sardi ki ratein

Adrak ki khub tum chai banati
Pakore gobhi ke tum thi talti
Kuchh kehne ko tum jab lapakti
Sanso ka dhua mukh pe chhorti
Kabhi sharma ke tum itrati
Shawl se apne mukhre ko chhipati
Mere liye sweater tum bunti
Maap ke bahane pass tum aati
Yad aati hain vo sardi ki ratein

Sardi ka mausam ab bhi aata
Par tum bin ab kuchh na bhata
Dhoop gulabi pheeki si lagti
Rat kali shyahi si lagti
Tumhara buna sweater hoon pehanta
Par vo garmi ab na deta
Yad aati hain vo sardi ki ratein
