देखी थी एक शोख हसीना
सपनो मैं अल्साई हुई
आँखें जिसकी मय के प्याले
ज़ुल्फ़े थी बल खाई हुई

आँचल का भी होश नही था
बेखुद थी क्यू किसको पता
जाने क्या क्या सोच रही थी
तन्हा थी घबराई हुई

वादा कर के शायद कोई
आया नही था वादे पर
रुखसारों पे नूर नही था
जैसी कली मुरझाई हुई

यूं ही देखा मुझ को उसने
बोली "रोज़ा" तुम थे कहाँ
आँख खुली तोह देखा मैने
काली घटा थी छाई हुई

Dekhi thi ek shokh hasina
Sapno main alsayee huyee
Ankhein jiski may ke pyale
Julphe thi bal khayee huyee

Aanchal ka bhi hosh nahi tha
Bekhud thi kyu kisko pata
Jane kya kya soch rahi thi
Tanha thi ghabrayi huyee

Vada kar ke shayad koyee
Aaya nahi tha vade per
Rukhsaaron pe noor nahi tha
Jaisi kali murjhayee huyee

Yoon hi dekha mujh ko usne
Boli "Roja" tum the kahan
Aankh khuli toh dekha maine
