Jitane bhi dekhe hain humne, Jalwe husn-o-alharhpan ke,
Unme tum jaisa koi nahi, Yeh waham nahi, hai mujhko yakeen.

Yeh chandi-sone jaisa badan, Na simat sake chadta yovan,
Laparwahi se uthte kadam, Us par bachpan sa bholapan,
Dekha humne kahin nahi,Yeh waham nahi, hai mujhko yakeen.

In kali lambi zulfon mein, Kuchh phool lage hai taron se,
Aur chandni tere chehre ki, Ruh ko deti hai thandak si,
Tujhse hari yeh kudrat bhi,Yeh waham nahi, hai mujhko yakeen.

Hain sholon se dehkate hont magar,Chhoo le inko koi agar,
Tan-man mein aisi aag lage, Jo sirf tere karam se bujhe.
Tujhko is ka ehsas nahi,Yeh waham nahi, hai mujhko yakeen.

Dekh le neeli aankhe jo, Woh doobe inki lehron mein,
Reh jai pyasa, kaise piye, Mai rahe jo kamsin pehron mein.
Aisi to adayen kahin nahi,Yeh waham nahi, hai mujhko yakeen.

Kya kahun ki tum ho hasin kitani, kar sakta byan lafzon mein nahi,
Shairy ke bahar hain yeh jalwe,Takti hai jo yeh nazaren meri.
Ab to maan lo baat meri ,Yeh waham nahi, hai mujhko yakeen.
