humne suna tha mohabbat ka naam afsaano me,
ke jite the shaan se doob jate tha maikhano me.
ghumte the beparwah bekhabar is jahaan me,
par fir bhi koi na hasil kar paya mohabbat yaha.
fir tu hi bata aye haseen kyu karu mohabbat,
kya hai koi aisa jisne payi ho mohabbat is jaha me.
lafz bhi kam pad gye samjhate huye,
ke sirf milta hai dard yaha dil lagane me...
