Chod chala vo parinda mere aashiyan ko,

jis parindey se meri ek pehchaan thi,

reh gya main fir se akela,

ye jaane kaisi uski udaan thi.



Reh guzar tha vo mera,

meri ek vo jaan thi,

kar gya mujhe be-sahara

ye jaane kaisi uski udaan thi,



Na socha usne ek baar bhi mere vajood ko,

Udd chala vo leke khud ke naseeb ko,

na samjha maine ke, uske dil main bhi armaan thi,

ye jaane kaisi uski udaan thi.



Tanha vo bhi ho ga mere bina, janta ye bhi hu,

chahata vo bhi na tha, jaanta ye bhi hu,

Jaanta hu main ki uski bhi ek pehchaan thi,

ye jaane kaisi uski udaan thi.
