dil ki bat zabaan per lana kitna mushkil hai
haal e dil kisi ko sunana kitna mushkil hai

aik humko hai teri chahet eik dunya ki majburi
beech samander diya jalana kitna mushkil hai

tum dunya k shedai ho hum sapnoon kay sodager
saath tumhey youn mera nibhana kitna mushkil hai

aik nai dunya ki chahet ley aai hai kitna door
wapis laut k gher ko jana kitna mushkil hai

wehshat k saaz pay raksaan matam kertey kuch alfaz
in hoontoon pay geet sajana kitna mushkil hai

in hontoon pay anaa k taley humse khul na paingey
door hotey sathi ko bulana kitna mushkil hai

ab to her aik shakhas humko dard ka mara lagta hai
apney zakham logoon ko dikhana kitna mushkil hai

roz mujhse aik nai tamanna kerta hai yeh mera dil
as nadaan dilko samjhana kitna mushkil hai

hum aankhoonse dekhney waley tum hontoon say sunne waley
apni chahat youn tumko batlana kitna mushkil hai

Tumne Chup rah ke bhi Sitam aur Dhaaya Mujh par,

Main to Akhlaak ke haathon hi bika karta hoon,
Aur honge tere bazaar mein bikne wale!

Akhiri baar salaam-e-dil-e mujztar le lo,
Phir na lautenge Sab-e-hizr ke rone wale!
