Sardi ki wo haseen raat thi khamosh si wo baat thi
aakhon mein aakhein doobi, jismon mein lagi aag thi

sukhe lab sil gaye the aur garm sansein bol rahee thee
andar chaht ke bhadak rahe shole bahar halki barsaat thee

 ek duje ke aagosh mein do jism simatte ja rahe the
uske husn ki adaon ki bars rahi mujhpe sougat thee

barish ke pani ki bunde uske chehre ko chhute chhute
aa thehri labon par ban amrit, jiski mujhe pyas thi

chandni mein nahaya badan aur uspar khuli julfe
lag rha tha aise jaise swarg ki apsara mere sath thee

labon se labon ki pyas bujhi dil se dil kee aag bujhi
di badan mile is tarah jaise rooh ko mili nai jaat thee
