bas tumhare intezaar mein, har ek pal guzara karein,
bin tumhare jee nahin lagta humara kyaa karein,
bada naaz tha humein apne jis sabr par,
wahi sabr khota dekh dil ghabra raha hai kya karein,
padh kar tere khat purane, jee ko behlane chale,
jee na behla, tum aur bhi yaad aane lage ho kya karein....

Laut aayeen Tere lams se Mahaki Hui Shamein!
Phir Aag laga di teri saanson ne hawa mein!

Raksaan hain isi lay pe sitaare hon ki Shabnam,
Kya Sahar hai is dil ke dhadhakne ki Sadaa mein!

Ik Noor ka sailaab hai Band aankhon ke ander,
Lipte hue chehre hain Andhere ki Ridaa mein!

Kis aag ne rakkha hai kadam dil ki Zameen pe,
Sooraj se damakte hain Nishan-e-kaf-e-paa mein!

Is Khauf se ik umr hamen neend na Aayee,
Ik Chor chhupa baithaa hai Seene ki Gufa mein!

aarzuoon ke gul yun muskuraane lage,
jaise gulshan mein jaan-e-bahaar aa gaya,
raat sone lagi, subah hone lagi,
shama bujhne lagi, dil machalne laga,
waqt ki roshni mein nahayi huyi jindagi pe,
jane kaisa ajab sa ye nikhaar aa gaya....

unke baare mein  socha humne to hothon pe muskan aa gayi,
kisne julfo se jhatka paani, ki jhum ke har taraf ghata chhaa gayi,
ye sab mere yaar ke hain jalwe, wo jara parde se bahar aa gayi.....
