Ka'abe ki hai havis, kabhi koo-e-butaaN ki hai
mujhko Khabar nahiN meri mitti kahaN ki hai

kuchh taazagi ho lazzat-e-aazaar ke liye
har dam mujhe talaash naye aasamaaN ki hai

hasrat baras rahii hai mere mazaar se
kahate haiN sab ye qabr kisii naujavaaN ki hai

qaasid ki guftaguu se tasalli ho kis tarah
chhipti nahiN hai wo jo tumhari zabaaN ki hai

sun kar meraa fasaanaa-e-Gam us ne ye kahaa
ho jaaye jhuuT sach, yahii Khuubii bayaaN ki hai

kyuN kar na aaye Khuld se aadam zamiin par
mauzuN vahiN vo Khuub hai, jo shay jahaaN ki hai

urduu hai jiska naam, hamiN jaante haiN Daagh
saare jahaaN meN dhuum hamaari zabaaN ki hai
