Abhi mushkil se samjhega zamana,
                   naya nagma ,nayee awaaz hoon main.
    
                   Mujhko bazm-e-naaz mein mat le chalo,
                   behki behki si zubaan hai aaj kal.

                   Jo shab-e-gham guzaar detey hai,
                   zulf-e-hasti sawaar dete hai.

                   raastey saaf paye jatey hai,
                   ab zara dekh bhaal ke chaltey hai.

                   mere gham pe aansoo bahaoge tum bhi,
                   to is aag ko phir hawa kaun dega .

                   shikast-e-aarzoo ko muddatein guzareen
                          magar"Qabil"            
                   nigaahe dost ab bhi badgumaan maloom hoti hai.
