jinko bhi dil main basaya tha ankho  se  nikal gaye,
lamhe ishq ke sare ek-ek kar  hatho  se fisal gaye,

kismat  aksar  imtehaan leti rahi mera  har mod par,
jab bhi manjil tak pahuchna chaha raah badal gaye,

diwaaro,n par din ginte  gaye  uske  intezaar  main,
tanhai ki aaghosh main  lamhe  hijr main nikal gaye,

ek-ek pal gujarna sadiyo,n sa lagne laga  tha mujhe,
dil e figaar ke din gardish e qafas main nikal gaye,

shab e firaaq main jati hui eysa zakham dakar  gayi,
ke qatal huye mare sabhi armaan mitti main mil gaye,

logo ka kaam pathar marna sach se kiya waasta  unka,
khud bankar shariff hame is kadar badnaam  kar gaye,

sari umeedo ko usne is kadar  rondh diya kadmo tale,
laga kar mol mare ishq ka sar e aam nilaam kar gaye,
