Apne dil ko mazeed dukhaya jaaye,
Chalo phir kisi se dil lagaya jaaye.

Arsa hua unhe humse roothe hue,
Ab ke baras to unko manaya jaye.

Matlab ke hain yaar mere yahan,
Haal E dil kisi ko na sunaya jaye.

Phirte hain namak mutthi mein liye,
Zakhm E dil sabhi se chhupaya jaye.

Main mareez hoon wo tabeeb hai,
Daagh dil ke unhi ko dikhaya jaye.

Muddat hui raat chain se soye hue,
yaadon ko unki ab to bhulaya jaye.

zabt karne se ab rahe aansoo mere,
youn bhi “Sahal” khudko rulaya jaye.
