Aaj ek chand-e-mehtaab say mulaqaat thee
Pursakoon howe dherken jo, keb say beyqaraar thee

Metalashee nazar thee keh hettee na thee ous keh cheray say
Chesm ko najanay, kis eks key talaash thee

Khamoshi ka saanp desta reha yaaro mager
Ies des main bhee ek ejeb mithaas thee

Samaetain tersee theen ous key awaaz ko aur
Dil ko ous key leb khushaii derkaar thee

Ies daur-e-mohabbat ka her mausam tha anoukha
Behaar yahan mukamil na thee aur aamad-e-khizaan thee

Ta umer reha intezaar ous ka ies dil ko
Hayeh kismet, ab zindagi ho chelee baywafa thee

Milan hota apna, yeh kaisay mumkin tha
Main ies paar khera tha, aure woh ous paar thee

Hijr kay dasht main bhee kya kya raunkain na theen laeken
Meray lab pay bus ous say milan key dua thee

Koi pouch reha tha wadee-e-dard ka peta KHAKI
Aaj phir kisee ko shayed, meray dil key talaash thee
