aaya jab is jahan mein
naa izzat naa guroor laya tha saaath me,
par aaj gaur kiya maine ki
kehta hoon "mein" apni har lawz-o-baat mein......


(aslam sabri)-jab paida hua hindu naa musalmaan tha mein
bas itna jaanta hooon ki saahib-e-imaan tha mein......
