fir naye jeevan ko dhundhti aankhein..
kaliyon-kopal ko mughda dekhti aankhein..
lagta hai chir vishram tutne wala hai..
beet gayi jo raat, sawera aane wale hai..

dil ke andar ek andhera chhaya tha..
aur swapna mein daitya koi phir aaya tha..
chhu mantar ho gaya roshni padhte hi..
daitya hawa ho gaya, kahani gadhte hi..

kitne hi awsaad bhare pal beet gaye..
kitne hi umeed bhare kal jeet gaye..
phir dekho ek nayi kali khil aayi hai..
chir nidraa ko todh k wo muskaayi hai..

iss umeed mein jaane kitne din beete..
raatein tanha aur din kitne bojhil beete..
fir saaya hai door kahin, usko jane do..
toot gayi nidraa toh ab muskaane do..
