apno,n ke  bich main  kiyon hasti meri gumnaam lagne lagee,
har shaks ne  thokar  maari to zindagi badnaam lagne lagee,

mane gunaah  kiya uske  raaho,n main  phoolo,n ko bichakar,
kadmo tale  masle in  barg e gul ki  shamshaan lagne lagee,

haqarat bhari hai zamaane  waalo,n  main kise apna banaate,
chaar soo tanhaai main  yeh  zindagi biyaabaan lagne lagee,

do raahe par khade kashmkash main phanse kaise raah chunte,
waqt ne eysi qarwat lee keh har manjil sunsaan lagne lagee,

gamon ka bhaar dil main kab tak sambhalenge hum nahi jante,
yuh dil ke kareeb aate  aate dhadkane  be-jaan lagne lagee,
