Aaj ki shaam badi natkhat thi,
Raat bhi aaj shararat se bhari hogi,
Dekh ke aya hun mehfil mein adayein teri,
Aogi khawabon mein to aur kayamat hogi.

Chhor se chilman ke tera ankh utha kar taqna,
Hont pe halka sa tabasum aur nazar se hasna.

Bhar to dena  mere paymane ko,
Phir yeh kehna ki tumeh mai ki zaroorat kya hai?
Aye ho mehfil mein meri, betho mere pehlu mein,
Tumeh is jhoote nashe ki zaroorat kya  hai?

Magar pakda hath jo maine duhai dene lage,
Hai nazuk, murd jayegi kalayi kehne lage.

Na pi sharab maine aur na hi meri payas bujhi,
Ulajh ke teri adaon mein yun hi shaam kati.

Aa jana pas mere jab bhi tumeh fursat hogi,
Na so payaga 'Raji' use teri zaroorat hogi.
