Aaj yadoon ke tapte sehra main
Us ki khushbo ke phool mehke hain

Aur dil ki dareeda basti per
Ashk ban ker ghataen barse hain

Hijr ki shab ke chaand aur taare
Us ke zulf e siyaah main uljhe hain

Phir wohi aag he tamanna ki
jis main ye jism o jaan jalte hain

Jaan dete the kal talak jis per
Aaj bhi ham usi pe merte hain
