Thanks for sharing all these valuable points Ricky....
But i would like to share something whats in ma mind from many days....Actually as per ur point 3. we should'not write long poems which ll not hold d interest of d readers. I agree to dis point. But I feel until d meaning of ma poetry s completely gained i shud kip on writing n if in tht case ma poetry becmg long tht shudnt b any prblm for d readers.....But some of d poets commentd me not to write long poetry....So i think its cz of ur Point no. 3........dey r jst implimenting ur points to us.
N i felt its bad! Dey shud understand d motto of writing a long poem!!

Another point i Would like to raise.
Here i saw most of d gud poets encouraged us to write more gud poetries.N m very much thankful to dem!
But some of dem gives negative comments....Its d reason newcomers lyk us ll not feel lyk writing more.Dey just kip on showing u ur mistakes(as per dem) which s not actually a mistake.I would like to say tht it ll b better if dey comment in a better way to improve us...not to show how good dey r n how bad v write.
I felt lyk sharing it here so written...Hope to get a positive response from u!!

I respect each n every body here...I just want to give light on d point tht we shud encourage n suggest all how dey can improve xcept showing dem dey r not good in poetry!
Dis will lead to conflicts in YOindia n ll reduce d importance of necomers to create sm gud stuff!

I appreciate your conern Salma786, however in point No.3 I never mentioned that you should not write Long Poem. But, I just shared my views as well as personal experience that Long Poem may not get comments/reply as quickly as short one. However, after reading your view I have added one more line to clarify it.

Regarding Negative comment:
I have added Point No. 10 in it. So as said, Yoindia is a Family of poets which is willing to help each. Kindly do not take them as negative comment. Instead ask them how to improve. They should be happy to help you.

I think you should now change this one....Though personally I also agree with you that in open threads, in a friendly manner some negative comments and suggestion will help not only that particular poet but also other members to hel......... I get PMs of people to delete such posts from their threads...People still do not welcome negative comments openly....They may do in PMs !!

well i would also like to share some points
which i think play important role..

1. IMPORTANT TIPS 4M MEMBERS who can write..
i think those who can write usually give their suggestions.
n their tips matter for a newcomer/poet..he/she shud take
their suggestions/tips positively n shud not be remain biased..
coz their motto is after all a good poem..

2. IMPORTANT TIPS 4m members who dont write..
similarly i think those who dnt write or rarely
write..they are readers so a poet shud take their advice
as per them..n he shud try to implement that..
sometimes they give very important suggestions
which can make the poem more delightful..

3. Store/save nice lines..
sometimes it happens that some nice ideas or lines of poetry
come to poet's mind but he doesn't write or save it..
he/she shud save it through any means..
if he doesnt...then while writing he may not b able to remember
those lines..then either he/she manages it half heartedly or
leave the same n go 4 new poem.
n in this process a good poem which can become a very gud
poem miss by the poet himself n hence cann't get the desired apprctn..

Thanks for the nice suggestions, Kaash Ji....The third point happens with me so many times when I am busy (and some lines come to mind) and later when I am free, not able to recall that DOH

i agree with kaash ji.kabhi kabhi waqt hi nahi milti comments karne ke liye.
ye nahi sochna chaiye usne mere post pe kyun nahi comment kiya.itna hi sochiye ki aap koshish ki kuch likhne ki.mai aaj sabhi shayar se yahi kahungi ,mai sabhi ke shayaris ko respect karti hoon par kabhi kabhi comment nahi kar pati hoon.peace be upon all my friends.god bless you all.

Submitting Poems on Yoindia is easy, I have moved your posts to another section.
To answer posts you should first goto Yoindia Shayari Forums and then goto appropriate section and look for "Submit your Poetry / Post" button.

Alternatively, simply use "Submit Your Poetry Now" button which is there on every page.
